New Church Bells
In the 1970's my granddad, dad, and other men and women from the village raised the money to repair the bells in St. Michael's Church. They were hung in 1977 in time for my parents' wedding that year.
However, in 2012 a crack appeared in the church tower and the bells fell silent. Fund raising again started but in 2019 a Lottery Heritage Grant has been secured to ensure everything is safe and secure and the bells will heard again.
